Esther Saves the Juice

We went to our 3 day, "God's Word Is Truth" District Convention this past weekend.  On Sunday, there was a drama about the story of Esther.  My two-year old little Claire was absolutely enthralled. It was pretty amusing to watch her, because she thought that everything happening on stage was actually happening in the moment.  Given that this is an account about how the Jews were facing extermination, she was a little bit scared.  (It didn't show anything scary, but she was listening to the words they were saying and could tell that the situation was dire).

When Esther was looking out the "window" to see the soldiers lined up, Claire was pointing to the doors and begging to go outside and see them.  She also kept saying things like, "They in trouble!" and "Oh, no! He die!" The best part of all of this though, is that she kept hearing them say things about the Jews, (that they were in danger, that they needed protection, that they would be destroyed, etc.), and she thought they were saying "juice."  The words are remarkably similar, and her little self thought that the Juice was going to die.

She was very stressed out about this.  She loves Juice.  She adores it. Is there any toddler that wants to live in a world without it?  I guess it's a good thing that Esther bravely came through and saved all her people, the Juice.  The world would be a very different place for all of us if she hadn't.

  1. I honestly would start a food company and call it Esther's Juice.
