Emma: Moooom!! Micah has blocks in his underwear. His actual underwear!
Micah: (suppressing giggles).
Me: Micah, honey. Take those out. Blocks don't go in your underwear. Besides, you already have jewels in there. There really isn't room for anything else.
Micah: Wha.....? I have jewels in there? I don't believe you, but I'm checking. (Pulls underwear out and looks around.) Nope. Nothing.
Me: Oh, they're in there. They're family jewels. You just don't know what you're looking for.
Of course, I'd backed myself into a corner here. I ended up having to launch into an explanation of what the family jewels are, and why they are called that. Way to go, me.
I thought we covered that when Claire was playing with Scruffy's toys and said 'Scruffy has 2 balls' and Daddy said, 'No, she doesn't'.
